These are the general rules for taking part in Gradopus Labs programs.

On this page

1. About these terms

These Student Terms & Conditions ("Terms") are the general rules for taking part in Gradopus Labs programs, including project-based internships and technology learning programs.

Gradopus Labs is an India-based brand offering practical, project-based software development internships and technology learning. It is not a university, college, government body or accredited institution, and it is not incorporated as a company.

In these Terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Gradopus Labs and the person who operates it. "You" means the student who applies for, registers for or takes part in a program.

2. Purpose and scope

These Terms explain what you can expect from us, what we expect from you, and what happens if something goes wrong. They apply to:

  • applying for, registering for and taking part in any Gradopus Labs program;
  • using any account, website, repository or communication channel we provide for a program;
  • the work you submit and the certificates we issue.

Nothing in these Terms removes or limits any right you have under applicable law, including as a consumer, as a participant in an internship, or in relation to your personal data. If any part of these Terms appears to do so, that part does not apply to the extent of the conflict.

3. Definitions

  • Student: anyone who applies for, registers for or takes part in a Gradopus Labs program.
  • Intern: a student who has been selected for, and has accepted a place in, a Gradopus Labs internship.
  • Program: a structured internship or learning program offered by Gradopus Labs, made up of modules, tasks and projects, with published completion requirements.
  • Internship details: the written terms for a specific program, shown to you before you enrol or accept a place, for example on the program's page. They state things such as the enrolment fee, duration, weekly time commitment, tasks and completion requirements.
  • Enrolment fee: the amount you pay to join a program, shown on the program's page.
  • Task: an assignment within a program, with stated instructions, submission requirements and review criteria.
  • Project: a task, or group of tasks, in which you build software and submit evidence of it, such as a GitHub repository, a live deployment URL, documentation or a demonstration.
  • Submission: anything you send us for review in response to a task.
  • Mentor or reviewer: a person who supports you or reviews your submissions on behalf of Gradopus Labs.
  • Certificate: a document issued by Gradopus Labs recording that you met the published completion requirements of a program, as documented in our records.

4. Eligibility and accurate information

  • You must be 18 or older to create an account or enrol in a program.
  • Each program lists any other eligibility requirements. These are limited to what is genuinely needed for the program, and we do not exclude anyone on discriminatory grounds, as described in the Internship Policy, section 4. To be confirmed: other eligibility requirements per program
  • The information you give us, in your application, account and submissions, must be true, accurate and your own.
  • The name you give for your certificate must be your real name. You can ask us to correct it (see section 15).
  • If any information you gave changes or turns out to be wrong, tell us promptly.
  • Giving deliberately false information, for example about your identity or your previous work, may lead to your application being declined or your participation being ended under section 17.

Your account. Where a program uses an online account:

  • keep your login details secure and do not share your account with anyone;
  • you are responsible for activity under your account, unless it results from a security failure on our side or you have told us your account may have been misused;
  • tell us immediately if you think someone else has accessed your account.

5. Accepting these Terms, and how they fit with other policies

You accept these Terms when you confirm that you accept them as described in section 22, which happens when you create an account. Please read them before you do.

These Terms are read together with:

  • the Internship Policy, which explains in more detail how internships run;
  • the internship details for your program;
  • the related policies listed below.

How the documents fit together:

  • These Terms set the general rules for all programs.
  • The Internship Policy explains how internships work in practice. If these Terms and the Internship Policy seem to say different things about how an internship runs, the Internship Policy applies to that matter.
  • As stated in section 2 of the Internship Policy, if the internship details and the Internship Policy disagree, the internship details apply to that internship, except that they cannot remove any protection given by these Terms, the Internship Policy or the law.
  • No document can remove a right you have under applicable law.

Related policies

6. Selection, onboarding and program-specific conditions

  • All programs are currently open enrolment: you join by paying the enrolment fee, with no application or selection step. If a program ever requires an application, its page will say so before you apply.
  • You will see the internship details in writing before you pay or accept a place. You are not committed to anything until you do.
  • Any condition that affects you, such as duration, time commitment, schedule, completion requirements, fees or ownership of work, must be stated in these Terms, the Internship Policy, a related policy or the internship details before you pay or accept. We will not apply conditions that were not disclosed to you in one of these ways.
  • Onboarding is described in section 5 of the Internship Policy.

To be confirmed: duration and weekly time commitment per program

7. Your responsibilities and professional conduct

When taking part in a program, you agree to:

  • treat mentors, reviewers, other students and anyone else you work with respectfully;
  • follow task instructions, these Terms and the Internship Policy;
  • submit only work that meets section 9;
  • use the platforms, repositories and access we give you only for your program;
  • keep confidential information confidential (section 11).

The following are not acceptable:

  • harassment, bullying, threats or discriminatory behaviour of any kind, including sexual harassment;
  • impersonating another person, or letting someone else complete your work or take part on your behalf;
  • misrepresenting your program, your role, your results or your certificate;
  • any of the prohibited activities in section 11.

If you experience or witness harassment or other misconduct, please report it under section 18. You will not be penalised for making a report in good faith.

8. Deadlines, submissions, participation and communication

Deadlines. Each task shows its deadline, if it has one. Deadlines are set so that the work can reasonably be completed within the time commitment stated in your internship details.

  • Unless a task says otherwise, late submissions are still reviewed, and the reviewer can see when the work was submitted. To be confirmed: whether lateness affects evaluation or completion
  • If you need more time for a genuine reason, such as illness, a family emergency or examinations, ask your mentor before the deadline where you can. Reasonable requests will be considered fairly.
  • Missing a deadline is never, on its own, treated as misconduct.

Submissions. Submit work in the format each task asks for. Submission rules are set out in section 9 of the Internship Policy and section 10 of these Terms.

Participation. You are expected to work steadily on your tasks and keep your mentor informed of your progress. Any live sessions or attendance expectations will be stated in the internship details. To be confirmed: whether programs include live sessions and any attendance expectations

Communication.

  • Use the official communication channels for program matters. To be confirmed: official communication channels
  • We will use the contact details you gave us to send you important messages about your program, such as review results and changes to these Terms.
  • Nobody is expected to reply outside reasonable hours.

9. Academic integrity, originality and use of AI tools

Your submissions must honestly show your own work and understanding.

You must:

  • write or produce your submissions yourself, except where the task allows you to use other material;
  • credit any third-party code, libraries, tutorials, articles or other resources you use, as the task requires;
  • in group tasks, accurately show your own contribution;
  • be able to explain the work you submit, if a reviewer asks.

You must not:

  • copy another person's work, including another student's, and present it as your own;
  • submit work written for you by someone else, whether paid or unpaid;
  • share your solutions with other students so they can submit them as their own, unless the task allows it;
  • falsify evidence of your work, such as commit history, screenshots, deployment URLs or demonstrations.

AI tools. Some tasks may allow AI coding assistants or other AI tools, and some may not. You must:

  • follow each task's instructions on whether, and how, AI tools may be used;
  • disclose where you have used AI tools in a submission, in the way the task asks;
  • never submit AI-generated work as your own where the task does not allow it, or without disclosing it.

To be confirmed: the general rule on AI-assisted work, and how disclosure should be made

How concerns are handled. If a reviewer believes a submission may breach this section, we will tell you what the concern is and give you a fair opportunity to respond, for example by explaining your work, before reaching a decision. We will not decide that a submission breached this section based only on the output of an automated plagiarism or AI-detection tool.

Possible outcomes include asking you to redo the task, rejecting the submission or, for serious or repeated breaches, the steps in section 17. Any certificate obtained through work that breaches this section may be revoked (section 15).

11. Confidentiality, cybersecurity and prohibited activities

Confidential information. During a program you may receive information that is not public, such as private repositories, unreleased product details, or information belonging to Gradopus Labs, a client or another student. You must:

  • use it only for your program tasks;
  • not share, publish or copy it outside the program;
  • return or delete it, and give up any access to it, when your program ends or when we ask.

This duty does not cover information that is already public through no fault of yours.

Reporting unlawful conduct is always allowed. Nothing in these Terms, including this section, prevents you from reporting conduct you reasonably believe is unlawful to an appropriate authority, raising a genuine grievance under section 18, seeking legal advice, or disclosing information where the law requires it.

Prohibited activities. You must not:

  • access, or attempt to access, any system, account, repository or data that you have not been explicitly authorised to use;
  • scan, probe or test the security of any system, including ours, without explicit written authorisation;
  • write, upload or submit malicious code, or anything designed to disrupt, damage or gain unauthorised access to a system;
  • share your access or credentials with anyone, or use anyone else's;
  • interfere with the operation of our website or other platforms, for example by overloading them;
  • use our platforms or a program to do anything unlawful or to infringe anyone else's rights.

Reporting security problems. If you find a security weakness in any Gradopus Labs system, report it to us under section 18 and do not exploit it, share it or test it further. We will not take action against you for a report made in good faith that follows this section.

12. Intellectual property and ownership

We do not claim ownership of your work through these Terms. Any transfer of ownership of work you create must be set out in a separate, clear written agreement, which you see and sign before you start the work it applies to. The Intellectual Property & Code of Conduct explains these rules in more detail.

Different kinds of work are treated differently:

  • Your pre-existing work (code or other material you created before, or independently of, the program): you keep any rights you have in it. You may use it in a submission if you have the right to; mark it as pre-existing where the task asks. We may use it only to review your submission and keep our records (see below).
  • Work you create in response to program tasks: submitting it does not transfer ownership to us. We do not claim ownership of it unless a separate written agreement says so.
  • Gradopus Labs materials (lessons, task descriptions, starter code, templates, and the Gradopus Labs name and logo): these belong to Gradopus Labs or its licensors. You may use them for your program, but may not resell, republish or share them except as allowed in writing.
  • Client or product work (contributions to a real product or a client project): ownership is set out in a separate written agreement. You may not publish or showcase it without our written permission (see the Internship Policy, section 15).
  • Third-party and open-source components: these stay with their owners and are used under their licences (section 10).

Permission you give us to review your work. By submitting work, you allow Gradopus Labs to store, access, review and assess it, and to keep a record of it, only for running the program, issuing and verifying certificates, handling any dispute, and keeping records the law requires. This permission does not transfer ownership.

Showcasing. We will not publish or publicly showcase your submissions, or your name alongside them, without your separate permission. Refusing permission will not affect your assessment or certificate.

Your portfolio. You may always describe, in general terms, the skills you used and the kind of work you did, for example on your CV, as long as you do not reveal confidential information.

13. Privacy and personal data

We collect and use only the personal information needed to run programs: to assess applications, manage accounts, communicate with you, review your work, issue and verify certificates, handle any fees or stipends, and keep our platforms secure.

  • We do not ask for information about your religion, caste, health or finances to decide on your application. If you request an accommodation, you only need to share what is needed to arrange it (Internship Policy, section 16).
  • We do not ask for identity documents, such as Aadhaar, PAN or a college ID card.
  • A public repository or live deployment can be seen by anyone. Do not include personal information about yourself or others in a submission beyond what the task requires.
  • If certificates can be verified online, some certificate details will be visible to people who check them, as described in section 15.

How we collect, use, share, store and delete personal information, how long we keep it, and how you can ask to access, correct or delete it, is explained in the Privacy Policy.

Accepting these Terms is not, by itself, consent to every use of your personal data. Where the law requires your consent for a purpose, we will ask for it in the way the law requires and explain what it covers.

14. Assessment, feedback and certificate eligibility

Assessment.

  • Your submissions are reviewed only against the criteria published for each task and the completion requirements of your program. To be confirmed: any scoring or grading scheme
  • Submitting a link, file or demonstration does not by itself complete a task. Project submissions count towards completion only once a reviewer accepts them.
  • A review result is "Accepted", "Changes requested" or "Rejected", with written feedback when changes are requested or a submission is rejected. You can resubmit after changes are requested or a submission is rejected, within any attempt limit shown on the task.
  • If you think a review is wrong or unfair, you can ask for it to be looked at again under section 18.

The Project Submission & Assessment Policy gives more detail.

Certificate eligibility. A certificate may be issued when you have met all of the completion requirements published for your program, and our records confirm this. Completion requirements are set out in section 12 of the Internship Policy and in your internship details.

  • Certificates are not issued for enrolling, paying the enrolment fee, attending sessions or submitting work alone. The enrolment fee pays for taking part in the program, not for a certificate.
  • There is no fee for a certificate.
  • We will not make a certificate depend on any condition that was not disclosed to you before you enrolled.
  • If your enrolment fee is refunded before a certificate is issued (refunds are given only in the limited cases in the Payment, Refund & Stipend Policy), a certificate is not issued for that enrolment. An issued certificate is never revoked because of a payment or administrative dispute.

What a certificate means. A certificate records only what is documented in our records: your name, the program you completed and the relevant dates. It is not a degree, a university or government-recognised qualification or an accredited credential. It does not guarantee a job, an interview, a placement, admission to further study or academic credit at your college.

15. Certificate verification, corrections and fraudulent claims

Verification. Each certificate has a unique certificate ID and a QR code. Anyone, such as an employer, can check a certificate's status (valid, revoked or replaced) on our verification page, together with limited details such as the program and dates. A search by ID shows the holder's initials; the QR code link shows the full name. Our records, not the printed document, decide whether a certificate is genuine. See the Certificate Issuance & Verification Policy.

Corrections. If your certificate contains an error, such as a misspelled name or the wrong program, tell us under section 18. If we confirm the error, we will issue a corrected certificate. The original is then marked as replaced, and there is no charge for correcting our own errors.

Revocation. A certificate may be revoked if there is documented evidence that it was obtained through plagiarised, falsified or fraudulent work, or through a serious breach of section 9. Before revoking a certificate, we will tell you what the concern is and give you a fair opportunity to respond, and you can appeal under section 18. The process is set out in the Certificate Issuance & Verification Policy.

Fraudulent claims. You must not:

  • create, alter or forge a Gradopus Labs certificate, or present one that was revoked or replaced as valid;
  • claim a certificate, program completion, role or result that our records do not show;
  • describe a certificate as a degree, government qualification, accreditation or job offer.

If someone asks us to verify a certificate, we will tell them truthfully what our records show.

16. Fees, payments, refunds and stipends

  • Enrolment fee: you pay an enrolment fee to join a program. The amount is shown on the program's page and at checkout before you pay. To be confirmed: the fee for each program, and whether it includes GST
  • No other charges: there is no application, assessment or certificate fee. We will not charge any amount that was not disclosed in writing before you enrolled.
  • What the fee pays for: taking part in the program. It does not guarantee that your work will be accepted, that you will complete the program, or a certificate, job or placement.
  • Payment: online payments are processed by Razorpay, and your enrolment is confirmed only after the payment succeeds. Gradopus Labs will never ask for your UPI PIN, card PIN, OTP or banking password.
  • Refunds: enrolment fees are not refundable, except in the cases in the Payment, Refund & Stipend Policy, such as duplicate payments or a program cancelled by Gradopus Labs. Nothing in these Terms limits any right to a refund that you have under law.
  • Stipends: Gradopus Labs does not currently pay stipends. Any future stipend will be stated in writing before you accept a place.
  • We do not impose fines or financial penalties on students.

The Payment, Refund & Stipend Policy gives full details.

17. Withdrawal, suspension and termination

Withdrawing. You may withdraw from a program at any time by telling us in writing. You do not have to give a reason.

Suspension and termination. We may suspend or end your participation for a serious or repeated breach of these Terms, such as plagiarism, harassment, fraud or a security breach. Before making a decision, we will:

  1. tell you in writing what the concern is;
  2. give you a fair opportunity to respond;
  3. tell you the decision and the reasons in writing.

Where there is an immediate risk to people, systems or confidential information, your access may be suspended while the concern is looked into. A suspension is not a finding that you did anything wrong.

We may also end a program early for reasons that are not your fault, for example if a program is discontinued. If that happens, we will give you as much notice as possible, and your enrolment fee will be refunded as set out in the Payment, Refund & Stipend Policy.

What happens next. When a program ends for any reason, section 17 of the Internship Policy applies:

  • reviews already completed stay on your record;
  • pending submissions are handled as stated there; To be confirmed: reviewed, or closed without review
  • a certificate is issued only if you met all completion requirements before the program ended;
  • enrolment fees are not refunded when you withdraw or your participation is ended for misconduct, except in the cases in the Payment, Refund & Stipend Policy;
  • you must return or delete confidential material (section 11).

You can ask for a suspension or termination decision to be reconsidered under section 18.

18. Grievances, complaints and contact

If you have a concern about anything covered by these Terms, including a review, a certificate, a fee, a stipend, a decision about your participation, or the behaviour of anyone involved, please raise it with us. Grievances are handled under section 18 of the Internship Policy:

  1. Raise it informally with your mentor, if you feel comfortable doing so.
  2. Raise a formal grievance in writing to support.gradopuslabs@gmail.com, describing what happened and the outcome you are seeking.
  3. We will acknowledge it and respond in writing with a decision and reasons. To be confirmed: acknowledgement and response timelines
  4. If you are not satisfied, you can ask for the decision to be reviewed by someone not involved in the original decision, where possible. To be confirmed: who handles escalated grievances

You may skip the informal step for any reason, and should go straight to a formal grievance for any complaint of harassment. To be confirmed: the person or committee who handles harassment complaints

You will not be penalised for raising a genuine concern. Using this process does not prevent you from using any other remedy available to you under law.

19. Disclaimers and limitations

  • Learning outcomes. We design programs to help you build practical skills, but your results depend on your own effort, and we cannot guarantee any particular outcome.
  • No guarantees of jobs or recognition. Taking part in a program or holding a certificate does not guarantee a job, interview, placement, admission to further study, academic credit or any recognition by a government body, university or employer. Gradopus Labs does not claim any government approval, university affiliation or accreditation. If you hope to use a program for credit at your college, check with your college first.
  • Availability. We aim to keep our platforms available, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. If an outage affects a deadline, we will adjust the deadline fairly.
  • Third-party services. Services such as GitHub, hosting providers and payment providers are run by others under their own terms. We are not responsible for how they operate, but we will help where we reasonably can.
  • Your liability. You are responsible only for loss caused by your own breach of these Terms, and only to the extent the law provides. These Terms do not impose any fine, penalty or unlimited liability on you.
  • Our liability. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, or any right you have under applicable law.

20. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do:

  • the new version will be published with its version number and effective date;
  • current students will be told about significant changes before they take effect, using the contact details they gave us; To be confirmed: minimum notice period
  • changes will not apply retrospectively to work already submitted or reviewed, and will not make the completion requirements of a program you have already accepted harder to meet without your agreement;
  • if you do not agree to a significant change, you may withdraw from your program without penalty. If the change materially reduces what was promised for a program you paid for, your enrolment fee will be refunded, as set out in the Payment, Refund & Stipend Policy.

21. Applicable law and disputes

These Terms are intended to be read in accordance with the laws of India.

To be confirmed: governing law, jurisdiction and any dispute-resolution process, after legal review.

Until that is confirmed:

  • please raise any concern with us first under section 18, so we can try to resolve it;
  • nothing in these Terms requires you to use any particular court, arbitration or other forum, or prevents you from approaching any authority, court or forum available to you under law.

22. Your acknowledgement

When you create an account, you are asked to tick a box confirming that you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. The date you agreed is recorded. By agreeing, you confirm that:

  • you have read and understood these Terms, and you will read the Internship Policy and the internship details for any program before you enrol;
  • the information you have given us is accurate;
  • you agree to follow these Terms.

Agreeing to these Terms does not, by itself, give consent to every use of your personal data (section 13) or permission to showcase your work (section 12). Where those are needed, we will ask for them in the way the law requires.

You can ask us questions about these Terms at any time before or after accepting them, using the contact details in section 18.
