Certificate Issuance & Verification Policy

  • Version: 1.2
  • Effective date: To be set after legal review
  • Last updated: 23 October 2026
  • Operated by: Gradopus Labs, a sole proprietorship based in Maharashtra, India
  • Contact: support.gradopuslabs@gmail.com

This policy explains which certificates Gradopus Labs issues, when you are eligible for one, what a certificate shows, how anyone can check that it is genuine, and how certificates are corrected or revoked.

On this page

1. Purpose and scope

This policy applies to every certificate issued by Gradopus Labs, to students who receive them, and to anyone who checks a certificate, such as an employer. It is read together with the Project Submission & Assessment Policy, which sets out how work is assessed, and the Student Terms & Conditions.

Gradopus Labs is an India-based brand offering project-based software development internships and technology learning. It is not a university, college, government body or accredited institution, and it is not incorporated as a company.

2. Types of certificate

Certificate of Completion. This is the only certificate Gradopus Labs currently issues. It records that the named student met all of the published completion requirements of a specific program.

Participation certificates are not currently issued. Taking part in a program without completing it does not lead to a certificate. To be confirmed: whether a separate participation certificate will be offered If one is introduced, it will be clearly titled as a participation certificate, it will not state or suggest that the program was completed, and its eligibility rules will be published in this policy before it is issued.

3. Participation certificate eligibility

Not applicable while participation certificates are not issued (section 2).

4. Certificate of Completion eligibility

A Certificate of Completion may be issued when all of the following are true:

  1. You have met every completion requirement published for the program (section 5 and the Project Submission & Assessment Policy).
  2. Your enrolment in the program is active or completed, and your account is active.
  3. For a program you paid for, your enrolment fee has not been refunded. Refunds are given only in the limited cases in the Payment, Refund & Stipend Policy, such as a program cancelled by Gradopus Labs.
  4. No valid certificate has already been issued for the same enrolment, and no certificate for it has been revoked.

There is no fee for a certificate. Your enrolment fee pays for taking part in the program. It does not buy a certificate, and a certificate is never conditional on a payment or requirement that was not disclosed to you before you enrolled.

Not every student completes every program, so not every student receives a certificate.

5. How submissions and assessment affect eligibility

  • Every required task must have an accepted review, or, for a non-assessed activity such as a reading module, be marked as done as the task describes.
  • Submitting a link, repository or demonstration does not by itself complete a task; the submission must be reviewed and accepted against the task's published criteria.
  • Optional tasks never affect eligibility.
  • Any other completion requirement must be stated in the program's internship details before you enrol.

6. Checking identity and contribution

We use proportionate methods:

  • The certificate is issued to the account that completed the work, in the name on that account.
  • During assessment, a reviewer may ask you to explain your code or demonstrate your work, which helps confirm your own contribution (Project Submission & Assessment Policy, sections 9 and 20).
  • We do not ask for identity documents, such as Aadhaar, PAN or a college ID card.

A certificate does not prove that every line of submitted code was independently checked or written by the holder. It records the assessment outcomes documented in our records.

7. Issuance and delivery

  1. When all requirements are met, a member of the Gradopus Labs team checks your eligibility on the platform. The platform checks it again at the moment of issue.
  2. The certificate is issued and recorded with a unique certificate ID.
  3. You can download it as a PDF from the Certificates section of your student dashboard. If email is set up, you also receive an email telling you it has been issued.

Certificates are digital (PDF). To be confirmed: whether printed certificates will be offered To be confirmed: expected time between completion and issue

8. Information on a certificate

Each certificate shows:

  • the Gradopus Labs name;
  • the title "Certificate of Completion";
  • your name, as it appears on your account when the certificate is issued;
  • the program title;
  • the completion date and the issue date;
  • the certificate ID;
  • a QR code and web address for verification;
  • a statement that it is not a degree, diploma or accredited qualification.

A signature is shown only if a real, authorised signatory has been designated. To be confirmed: whether a signatory will appear and who it is

A certificate never shows your email address, phone number, scores, feedback or payment details.

Check your name before completion. The certificate uses the name on your account, which you can change on your profile page. Use your real name as you want it to appear.

9. Certificate IDs

  • Each certificate has a unique ID in the form GL-YEAR-NUMBER, for example GL-2026-000001.
  • IDs are never reused, even if a certificate is revoked or replaced.
  • The ID contains no personal information: no phone number, date of birth or identity number. It is not the database's internal identifier.
  • Because the numbers run in sequence, an ID is not secret: someone could guess other IDs. For this reason, a search by ID shows only limited information (section 11).
  • Each certificate also has a separate, randomly generated verification code, used only in its QR code link. This code cannot be guessed, and only a protected form of it is stored.

10. Verification pages and QR codes

Anyone can check a certificate on the official Gradopus Labs website:

Verification checks the certificate against our records at that moment. The status shown there is what counts, not the printed document.

11. What the public can see

Search by certificate ID:

  • Valid: the certificate ID, the holder's initials only, the program title, and the completion and issue dates.
  • Revoked: the certificate ID, the program title and the date it was revoked.
  • Replaced: the certificate ID, the program title, the date it was replaced and, if the replacement is valid, the replacement's ID.
  • Not found: no certificate matches the ID.

QR code link: the same information, but with the holder's full name. This page asks search engines not to index it, and only people who have the certificate or its link can open it.

Verification never shows email addresses, phone numbers, identity documents, addresses, account details, submissions, feedback, scores, payment details, or the reason for a correction or revocation.

12. Privacy protections

  • Only the minimum needed to confirm authenticity is shown (section 11).
  • The full name is shown only through the hard-to-guess QR link, which you control by deciding who you share your certificate with.
  • We do not record who checks a certificate. Repeated lookups are limited to prevent misuse.
  • The PDF can be downloaded only by you, while signed in, and by the Gradopus Labs team.
  • More detail is in the Privacy Policy, section 10.

13. Corrections, reissue and replacement

Clerical errors (for example a misspelled name or the wrong program title) are corrected free of charge:

  1. Tell us under section 21, with the certificate ID and the correction needed.
  2. If the error is confirmed, the details are corrected and a replacement certificate is issued with a new ID, keeping the original completion date.
  3. The original certificate's status changes to replaced, and its verification page points to the replacement.

If you change your name after a certificate is issued, you can ask for a replacement showing your new name. To be confirmed: what evidence of a name change is needed, if any

Lost certificates do not need replacing: you can download your PDF again at any time from your dashboard.

14. Invalid, fraudulent, duplicate or unauthorised certificates

A certificate is not genuine if our verification page does not show it as valid. This includes certificates that are:

  • not found in our records;
  • altered, for example with a changed name, program, date or ID;
  • revoked or replaced;
  • duplicated or issued by anyone other than Gradopus Labs.

You must not create, alter or forge a Gradopus Labs certificate, present a revoked or replaced certificate as valid, or claim a certificate that our records do not show. If someone asks us whether a certificate is genuine, we will tell them truthfully what our records show.

Please report suspected fake certificates under section 21.

15. Investigating suspected misuse

If we receive credible information that a certificate may have been obtained through plagiarised, falsified or fraudulent work, or that a certificate is being misused:

  1. We review the relevant records, such as submissions, attempts and review notes.
  2. We tell the holder in writing what the concern is and the evidence for it.
  3. The holder has a fair opportunity to respond, for example by explaining their work. To be confirmed: the time allowed to respond
  4. A decision is made by To be confirmed: who decides and explained in writing with reasons.

A concern raised by a third party is not, by itself, proof of misconduct.

16. Revocation

A certificate may be revoked only for a substantial reason, such as:

  • documented evidence that it was obtained through plagiarised, falsified or fraudulent work, or serious academic misconduct; or
  • a genuine issuance error, for example a certificate issued when the completion requirements were not actually met.

A certificate will not be revoked:

  • without following the process in section 15, except that a clear issuance error found by Gradopus Labs will still be explained to you in writing, with an opportunity to respond;
  • because you criticised Gradopus Labs, raised a complaint or reported a concern;
  • as a way to settle a payment or administrative dispute.

When a certificate is revoked, its verification page shows that it was revoked and the date, but not the reason. You will be told the reason in writing. A revocation is not automatically reversed, but a new certificate can be issued if a revocation is overturned on appeal or the problem is put right. To be confirmed: whether, and how, a student can earn a new certificate after a revocation

Gradopus Labs does not suspend certificates temporarily. While a concern is being investigated, the certificate stays valid until a decision is made.

17. Authenticity and limitations

A Gradopus Labs certificate is evidence that the named person met the published completion requirements of the specified program, as recorded by Gradopus Labs.

It is not:

  • a university degree, diploma, academic credit or professional licence;
  • a government-issued or government-recognised qualification;
  • an accredited credential;
  • a guarantee of employment, placement or any career outcome;
  • proof that Gradopus Labs independently verified every part of the submitted work.

Registering the Gradopus Labs business or trademark does not make its certificates an accredited or government-recognised qualification. Certificates do not carry government emblems, university logos, accreditation seals or registration numbers.

18. Using your certificate

You may list your certificate on your CV, LinkedIn, portfolio and job applications. When you do:

  • describe it accurately, for example "Certificate of Completion, [program title], Gradopus Labs";
  • you can share the QR link or the certificate ID so others can verify it;
  • do not describe it as a degree, accreditation, government qualification, job offer or employment;
  • describe your work and skills accurately, without revealing confidential information.

20. Record retention and correction requests

  • Certificate records are kept for as long as certificates need to remain verifiable, so that verification stays accurate. They are not deleted automatically. To be confirmed: retention period for certificate records
  • If you ask us to delete your personal data, we may need to keep certificate records to stop anyone presenting a false certificate in your name. We will explain what is kept and why.
  • You can ask us to correct certificate details under section 13. Other data requests are handled under the Privacy Policy.

21. Grievances and appeals

To report an error, a suspected fake certificate, or to appeal a decision (for example a refused certificate, a refused correction or a revocation):

  1. Write to support.gradopuslabs@gmail.com with the certificate ID, if any, and a description.
  2. We will acknowledge your message and respond in writing with reasons. To be confirmed: acknowledgement and response timelines
  3. Appeals against a revocation are decided, where possible, by someone not involved in the original decision. To be confirmed: who decides appeals

You will not be penalised for raising a genuine concern. This process does not affect any other remedy available to you under law. More detail is in the Student Terms & Conditions.

23. Policy updates

We may update this policy. The current version is always published with its version number and effective date. A change does not affect certificates already issued, except that their verification status continues to reflect our records.
